If your work is commercial again lets talk

my path has been very fast as a photographer but came from a long long time in the creative and alternative world of Gadigal, my work is built on relationships, friendships and sensitivity developed over decades

Boats started 2014 shooting photos from boats and towing subjects ie people past shipwrecks in waterways in Sydney and through harbours many of these people were living with life altering conditions, the wrecked boats were like post colonial shards lying in the water

After that there was “Blind is a word sighted is a continuum”Head On 2018 which was as a result of meeting and knowing variably sighted people in my first trips overseas 2016-2020 to Indonesia and the islands near Thailand and up from Darwin. The support of curator Ellen Hewitt and a grant from Unsw was very much appreciated during the Head On show for this. Sightedness is a big issue and not taken for granted in many parts of this country and the larger world

Then Sex and disABILITY with Don Turton and SSI Settlement Services International, Dr Peter Banki in 2019 which had the Sex and dis Ability Festival at Burton St Darlinghurst and a film made about that by Simeon John this was a big event with ACON and others drawing together the whole Sex and disAbility movement into a big conference and I was the featured artist and we printed the Boats images very large for this show

The lead up to this was the ongoing

Death Dying with Dr Peter Banki was in 2017/2018/2019 a series of weekend long workshops with people from within the country and overseas
